RIFT in-engine character capture

Speedster

RIFT

FOX SPEEDSTER · BREAKS THE FIRST LINE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • BURST RUNNER
  • REBOUND HUNTER
  • LIGHTWEIGHT
How they play
Explodes into open lanes, stretches a defence and turns loose rebounds into fast breaks.
How to stop them
Physical challenges and crowded lanes deny the space that makes RIFT dangerous.
Backstory

Rift learned the game between freight platforms where every touch had to beat a closing door. Now the fox treats an arena the same way: spot the gap, commit completely, and leave only a teal streak behind.

WHIZ in-engine character capture

Speedster

WHIZ

FALCON SPEEDSTER · ATTACKS FROM WIDE AREAS

PLAYABLE NOW
  • WIDE THREAT
  • AERIAL ARRIVAL
  • CONTACT SHY
How they play
Uses elite pace to overlap, chase long passes and arrive early for high one-timers.
How to stop them
Force Whiz toward contact and make the first touch happen with the back to goal.
Backstory

A former rooftop courier, Whiz can read a route before anyone else sees it. The falcon joined Novus competition for a harder delivery: one perfect run, one impossible angle, one ball in the net.

TANK in-engine character capture

Enforcer

TANK

GATOR ENFORCER · WINS THE COLLISION

PLAYABLE NOW
  • BALL SHIELD
  • HEAVY STRIKE
  • SLOW TURN
How they play
Protects possession, powers through tackles and turns charged shots into genuine keeper tests.
How to stop them
Quick passing pulls Tank out of the duel; recovery runs expose the lack of acceleration.
Backstory

Tank guarded scrapyard pitches where the boards were steel and a clean shirt meant you had not played. The gator brings that hard-earned calm to every match: absorb the hit, keep the ball, finish the job.

BRUISER in-engine character capture

Enforcer

BRUISER

BEAR ENFORCER · CREATES CHAOS IN THE BOX

PLAYABLE NOW
  • BOX BULLY
  • VOLLEY POWER
  • LIMITED VISION
How they play
Crashes central lanes, clears space for teammates and punishes loose balls with powerful volleys.
How to stop them
Bruiser is least comfortable when made to circulate the ball or defend a wide give-and-go.
Backstory

Bruiser once entertained winter crowds by breaking training dummies in half. The bear discovered that the loudest cheer came after a perfectly timed finish, and has chased that sound ever since.

AURA in-engine character capture

Playmaker

AURA

HUMAN PLAYMAKER · OPENS A SETTLED DEFENCE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • TEMPO SETTER
  • FIRST BALL FORWARD
  • LIGHT IN THE DUEL
How they play
Plays the first ball forward at speed, taking the line-splitting pass a beat before a settled defence has finished setting.
How to stop them
Get touch-tight early; with a shoulder on her, Aura has to turn back and the tempo is gone.
Backstory

Aura came through the Novus academy on the open place the club keeps for anyone who can prove they belong, and she proved it the one way nobody could argue with: she moved the ball forward faster than anyone else in the trial. Her build is also the one the academy issues to every created striker, which is why a player's own athlete stands where she stands.

PIVOT in-engine character capture

Playmaker

PIVOT

CAT PLAYMAKER · TURNS PRESSURE INTO SPACE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • PRESS ESCAPE
  • CURVED PASS
  • LOW DUEL POWER
How they play
Receives between opponents, changes the angle quickly and curls passes into moving targets.
How to stop them
Deny the first turn and Pivot must play backward instead of splitting the line.
Backstory

Pivot made a reputation in cramped street cages where the wall was a teammate and hesitation lost the ball. The cat still plays every arena like that first cage—always one touch away from a new angle.

BASTION in-engine character capture

Anchor

BASTION

SHARK ANCHOR · OWNS THE DEFENSIVE LANE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • LANE GUARD
  • INTERCEPTOR
  • LOW SHOT THREAT
How they play
Holds position, intercepts direct play and turns a stop into a safe first pass.
How to stop them
Movement across the lane and patient recycling are stronger than challenging Bastion head-on.
Backstory

Bastion captained harbour crews through storms before trading the deck for the pitch. The shark trusts the same rule in both places: choose the line, hold it, and give everyone behind you room to breathe.

ANVIL in-engine character capture

Anchor

ANVIL

GOLEM ANCHOR · RESETS THE SHAPE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • IMMOVABLE
  • AERIAL CLEAR
  • SLOW ADVANCE
How they play
Absorbs pressure, wins high clearances and starts controlled attacks from deep.
How to stop them
Fast combinations around the golem work better than trying to move it with a single hit.
Backstory

Anvil was carved from a stadium cornerstone and woke to decades of crowd noise stored in the stone. The golem now protects the shape of a team with the patience of architecture and the timing of a veteran.

ACE in-engine character capture

Dynamo

ACE

CAPTAIN DYNAMO · CONNECTS EVERY PHASE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • ALL-ROUNDER
  • CAPTAIN
  • NO SPECIALTY
How they play
Balances carrying, passing, shooting and recovery so the lineup always has a reliable next action.
How to stop them
Ace has no extreme mismatch to exploit, but also no single specialty that overwhelms a prepared opponent.
Backstory

Ace was the first captain to train at the unfinished Novus ground, painting lines in the morning and playing under work lights at night. That all-purpose beginning became a promise: whatever the match needs, be ready.

MARIS in-engine character capture

Playmaker

MARIS

OTTER PLAYMAKER · SHAPES THE FLOW

PLAYABLE NOW
  • TEMPO CONTROL
  • CHANNEL PASSER
  • SOFT IN THE DUEL
How they play
Rides the rhythm of possession, slipping weighted passes through channels the moment a defence turns its head.
How to stop them
Press the first touch hard; without time to read the pool, Maris plays safe and slow.
Backstory

Maris grew up steering cargo rafts through tidal locks, learning that water always finds the open gate. The otter plays the same way: let the pressure build, feel the current shift, and release the one pass that empties a defence.

KIP in-engine character capture

Speedster

KIP

RABBIT SPEEDSTER · WINS THE RESTART

PLAYABLE NOW
  • FIRST STEP
  • COUNTER SPARK
  • FEATHERWEIGHT
How they play
Explodes off the mark quicker than anyone, turning dead balls and loose touches into instant counters.
How to stop them
Body contact ends the sprint early; force Kip to receive with a defender already touch-tight.
Backstory

Kip trained on warehouse vault courses where the buzzer, not the whistle, started every drill. The rabbit still plays to that buzzer: first to move, first to the ball, and gone before the defence has finished turning around.

RASKA in-engine character capture

Enforcer

RASKA

HYENA ENFORCER · HUNTS THE LOOSE BALL

PLAYABLE NOW
  • CHAOS FINISHER
  • SECOND TACKLE
  • TUNNEL VISION
How they play
Crashes the second ball, hitting hardest a heartbeat after the duel looks over and finishing chaos with a grin.
How to stop them
Move the ball before the challenge arrives; Raska cannot press what is already gone.
Backstory

Raska ran with a scavenger crew that stripped derelict arenas for parts, and learned to love a broken play more than a clean one. The hyena's laugh is honest: every rebound, ricochet and panicked clearance is an invitation.

ORIN in-engine character capture

Anchor

ORIN

PANGOLIN ANCHOR · CLOSES THE GATE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • SHELL BLOCK
  • CALM OUTLET
  • NO FINISHING EDGE
How they play
Curls into the lane at the perfect moment, swallowing direct play and restarting attacks with calm rolled passes.
How to stop them
Do not shoot into the shell; pull Orin sideways and play behind the turn.
Backstory

Orin kept the gates at a mountain reservoir, where one wrong opening flooded a valley. The pangolin brought that patience to the pitch: read the pressure, close the gate before the surge arrives, and never gamble what the team stands on.

VIGIL in-engine character capture

Playmaker

VIGIL

OWL PLAYMAKER · SEES THE WHOLE BOARD

PLAYABLE NOW
  • NIGHT VISION
  • LINE SPLITTER
  • GLASS FRAME
How they play
Reads two passes ahead in silence, then splits a settled defence the moment a lane blinks open.
How to stop them
Constant motion and body pressure blind the read; Vigil struggles when forced to play first-time.
Backstory

Vigil called night matches from the top row of an academy stand for years before ever playing one, mapping how defences breathe. The owl now plays from memory: wait in the quiet, watch the shape drift, and strike through the gap everyone else forgot.

MIKO in-engine character capture

Dynamo

MIKO

RED PANDA DYNAMO · SPARKS EVERY PHASE

PLAYABLE NOW
  • ALL-COURT SPARK
  • CROWD FAVOURITE
  • EVERYWHERE AT ONCE
How they play
Bounces between carrying, pressing and finishing with the same bright energy, wherever the match needs a spark.
How to stop them
Miko has no single overwhelming edge; disciplined shape denies the all-court game its openings.
Backstory

Miko juggled embers at a mountain festival before ever touching a ball, and the crowd's gasp never wore off. The red panda chases that gasp across every blade of turf: one more trick, one more sprint, one more impossible angle saved for last.

VEXA in-engine character capture

Career boss

VEXA

MANTIS BOSS · SPEED CIRCUIT CHAMPION

CAREER BOSS / DEFEAT TO UNLOCK
  • DASH CHAIN
  • PRECISION
  • PUNISHABLE RECOVERY
How they play
Links three clearly telegraphed dashes before stamina empties and a punishable recovery begins.
How to stop them
Track the final dash, protect the central lane, then attack during the visible stop.
Visible boss mechanic
Three visible dash links; the stamina bar empties and the final step has a punishable stop.
Backstory

Vexa mapped every shortcut in the Neon Circuit and never ran the same route twice. The mantis now guards its crown by turning acceleration into a puzzle: survive the pattern, and the champion joins your roster.

IRONHORN in-engine character capture

Career boss

IRONHORN

RHINO BOSS · IMPACT CIRCUIT CHAMPION

CAREER BOSS / DEFEAT TO UNLOCK
  • CHARGED HIT
  • KNOCKBACK
  • LONG MISS
How they play
Charges one devastating tackle with unmistakable anticipation and enormous knockback.
How to stop them
Dodge the committed line; a missed charge leaves Ironhorn exposed longer than any normal tackle.
Visible boss mechanic
A telegraphed charged tackle with heavy knockback and a long recovery when it misses.
Backstory

Ironhorn carried a struggling foundry club through its first undefeated season. The rhino believes momentum should be visible, earned and impossible to fake—so every challenge begins with a warning and ends with a verdict.

PRISM in-engine character capture

Career boss

PRISM

CHAMELEON BOSS · VISION CIRCUIT CHAMPION

CAREER BOSS / DEFEAT TO UNLOCK
  • CURVED COMBINATION
  • DECEPTION
  • COOLDOWN
How they play
Bends a give-and-go route around the first defender and reserves the return runner.
How to stop them
Block the return lane rather than chasing the first pass; the move then enters cooldown.
Visible boss mechanic
A curved give-and-go route that reserves one receiver and then enters cooldown.
Backstory

Prism designed training projections for clubs that could not afford full squads. The chameleon learned to disguise intent without hiding information, and built a career from passes opponents understand one beat too late.

AEGIS in-engine character capture

Career boss

AEGIS

RAM BOSS · FORTRESS CIRCUIT CHAMPION

CAREER BOSS / DEFEAT TO UNLOCK
  • FRONTAL BRACE
  • POSITIONAL WALL
  • STATIONARY
How they play
Plants a frontal brace that defeats light contact and protects the ball without granting hidden invulnerability.
How to stop them
Move the ball around the stationary brace; lateral passing and patience dismantle the wall.
Visible boss mechanic
A stationary brace that blocks a frontal light hit but loses to movement and passing.
Backstory

Aegis restored an abandoned mountain arena one stone at a time. The ram plays with the same stubborn craft: build a position worth defending, announce it clearly, and dare the opponent to find a smarter route.

SUNMANE in-engine character capture

Career boss

SUNMANE

LION BOSS · GALACTIC CIRCUIT CHAMPION

CAREER BOSS / DEFEAT TO UNLOCK
  • MIXED MOMENTUM
  • COMPLETE CAPTAIN
  • READABLE BURST
How they play
Builds visible momentum only by mixing passes, tackles, carries and shots, then spends it in a balanced burst.
How to stop them
Predictable repetition cannot charge the burst; disrupt the variety and force simple decisions.
Visible boss mechanic
A visible momentum meter rewards mixed actions; repeating one action cannot build it.
Backstory

Sunmane united five rival exhibition teams by proving that complete football could still be spectacular. The lion's final challenge rewards the same ideal: master every part of the game, not one unbeatable trick.
