Novus Striker

AI policy

This is this site’s robots.txt written for a person. Every public page on this site may be crawled, indexed, summarised, quoted and used to answer a question somebody is asking right now. Nothing is disallowed, and no agent is refused.

The short version

  • Read anything on this site. There is no disallowed path in robots.txt at all, so there is no part of it a crawler is being kept out of.
  • Quote it, summarise it and train on it. No permission request is needed and there is no separate licence to sign for it.
  • We ask — we do not demand — that you name Novus Striker and link to the page you used.
  • A crawl of this site reaches nobody’s data, because there is none to reach. The game has no account, no sign-in and nothing stored off your device.

The 20 agents named in robots.txt

Each of these is granted exactly what the wildcard rule already grants every crawler: the whole site. Naming them changes nothing about the access. It is here because some operators only obey a group that names their own agent, and because an explicit list states an intention that survives a future edit to the wildcard rule.

The split below is the part worth reading. It is the difference between a fetch nobody is waiting on and a fetch somebody is.

Assistants, fetching for a person right now (6)

An AI acting for someone who asked about this page and is waiting on the answer. Blocking one is not a position on training data — it is refusing to serve a visitor who happens to be reading through an AI. That matters more here than on most sites: Novus Striker is a Unity WebGL build that only runs in a browser, so an AI browser driving the real page is the only way an AI can reach the game at all.

Bulk crawlers, building an index or a corpus (14)

Fetching pages in bulk for a search index or a training set. Nobody is waiting on the response, so the cost of a disallow here would be a listing and some training data rather than a person turned away.

An agent that is not on this list is not refused. The wildcard rule allows every crawler; these are named because they are the ones people most often assume are blocked.

What is withheld

Nothing. robots.txt on this origin carries no Disallowline, for the wildcard rule or for any named group, and this page would be wrong the moment one was added — which is why both are generated from one list rather than written twice. There is no admin surface, no sign-in and no user content to keep out of an index. The only thing on this domain that is not a page is the game build itself, and it is served openly too.

Where the real rules are

This page is the readable version. These are the files that actually answer, and none of them is behind anything:

  • /llms.txtThis site's taxonomy as plain text, in the llmstxt.org shape, for language models. Generated from the same route registry as the tool map and the sitemap.
  • /llms-full.txtThe companion to the index above: the guides, tutorials, help and release history as one flat document, so a model does not have to fetch and strip every page to answer a question about the game.
  • /mcpA Model Context Protocol endpoint, JSON-RPC over a single POST. A browser GET answers 405 by protocol, so /mcp-server is the page that describes it.
  • /api/v1A read-only public JSON API: the site index, the capability checks the game runs, and the sibling Novus apps. No key, no account, and nothing to write to.
  • /rss.xmlRSS 2.0. One item per shipped WebGL build, newest first. The only feed on this site.
  • /sitemap.xmlEvery page, as absolute URLs with a change frequency and a priority. Also generated from the route registry.
  • /robots.txtEverything is crawlable, the AI agents above are named explicitly, and it points at the sitemap. /ai-policy is this same file written for a person.

If you would rather ask than crawl, the endpoint above is described on the MCP server page. It answers questions about the pages, the build being served and what the game actually has, and nothing it exposes can drive the game or read anything from a player’s device.

What crawling this site collects

A request from an agent produces the same hosting access-log entry any HTTP request produces: the URL, the timestamp, the user-agent string and the originating address. Nothing else. No account is created, no cookie is needed to read any page, and the analytics and advertising tags are gated behind a consent choice that an agent never makes, so they do not run for one.

The game itself is worth being exact about, because “a game site” invites the wrong assumption. There is no account, no server-side save and no leaderboard. Settings and progress are written to storage in the player’s own browser and are never transmitted, so no amount of crawling reaches anybody’s progress — it is not on this origin to reach. The privacy policy states what is collected in full, and the cookies and storage page names every key by hand.

What we ask in return

A request, not a condition. Nothing here is withheld from an agent that ignores it, and no rule will be added to punish one that does.

  • Name Novus Striker and link the specific page rather than the home page. Someone checking a claim should land where it is made.
  • Quote what the build actually has. Everything this site says about mechanics, controls and characters is generated from the installed release’s own contract, so a feature described here is one a player can use today — and a summary that mixes in a roadmap item loses the only property that makes this site worth quoting.
  • Say when a page is about the status of something. The status page is reviewed by a person on a date it prints; it is not live monitoring, and a summary that drops the qualifier tells a reader the service is up when nothing checked.
  • If something here is wrong, say so. The address is striker@novusstreamsolutions.com, and it is open to an automated reader as well as a person.

This page cannot fall behind

Every agent named above is read from the same list /robots.txt is generated from, and the file list is read from the module both this page and the tool map render. Neither is typed out here. That is deliberate: a policy page whose prose was a second copy of the rules would keep describing them as they were on the day somebody wrote it, and the failure would be silent — a reader would be told this site refuses an agent it happily serves, with nothing on the site disagreeing.
